Important Dates- Special and General Election and Primary Runoff Election
Keeping track of the dates is very important. We recommend putting them on your calendar.
MAY 7TH, 2022 SPECIAL AND GENERAL ELECTIONS
MAY 24TH, 2022 PRIMARY RUNOFF ELECTION
JUNE 14TH, 2022 SPECIAL ELECTION CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 34, CITY OF HARLINGEN RUNOFF ELECTION CITY OF PORT ISABEL RUNOFF ELECTION, CITY OF SANTA ROSA RUNOFF ELECTION
You must register to vote in Texas. You can begin the process to register informally online at votetexas.gov. You can also register in-person or by mail with the Department of Elections Voter Registration for Cameron County. Their office is located on 1050 E. Madison Street, Brownsville, TX. Phone: (956) 544-0809.
Voter ID is required in Texas. The state accepts 7 forms of I.D. There are exemptions that may apply.

Vote By Mail
The qualifications to vote early by mail in Texas are:
be 65 years or older
be disabled
be out of the country on election day and during the period of early voting by personal appearance
