How to Renew Items

Books may be checked out for 21 days (3 weeks). Videos may be checked out for 7 days (1 week). If this is not enough time, you are able to renew items twice – unless another patron has placed a reserve on that item.

To renew an item you can do it three ways:

  1. Visit the Online Catalog and log-in with you library card and password (the default password is your full phone number) in the upper right hand corner. Once you are logged in the options My Account and Log Out. Click on My Account. This will open up a menu showing your Account Info, Notifications Items Out/Renewals, Reserves, and Bookmarks. Click on Renewals and here you will find a listing of the materials you have checked out. If it is still renewable you can click the renew button. A new due date will be shown. Once you are finished log out and keep on reading.
  2. Call the Library Circulation Desk at (956) 216-5810
  3. Visit the library Circulation Desk.
