Our Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is where teens can voice their suggestions and make things happen. TAG members are encouraged to create, promote, and assist with teen programs and other service projects. They have multiple opportunities to gain volunteer hours as well as gain new friends! If you’re interested please click the button below or come by and fill out a form.

Our Teen programs are open to all teens unless stated otherwise in their flyer. New programs can be created if planned and brought up in our monthly TAG meeting.

Our Teen Book Club and Manga Club are hosted once a month on BlueJeans Meetings.  The books we have are available for free at the children’s desk and via Libby. Due to the limited amount we have, books will be signed out when picked up. If you would like for us to hold one for you, we will do so only for one week. If the books are picked up but three meetings are missed, you will not be allowed to pick up the free copies anymore. The BlueJeans Meetings link is available on our Facebook or you can email us at youth@harlingenlibrary.com.

Play the X-Box or Nintendo Switch in person with friends in the Teen Room! For more information, check our Facebook or if you have any questions you can email us at youth@harlingenlibrary.com.

Need hours for school or other programs? Stop by to get some easy in person volunteer hours.

Must be registered through our Teen Advisory program. Applications can be found on the Teen Page of our website. 16 year olds and older have to complete City of Harlingen volunteer application for a background check.

For more information on current programming or for future event suggestions please contact the Youth Services Department at youth@harlingenlibrary.org
