The Harlingen Public Library is now using Beanstack to run virtual reading challenges. Beanstack is an online app or website that you can use to track your child’s reading and earn prizes in one of our many reading programs for children of all ages. Children can participate in more than one challenge at a time. In this scenario, the reading they do counts towards both programs.

We host story time for families to enjoy together twice a week. On Tuesday mornings, you can catch story time at 10:30 am, and on Wednesday evenings, you can catch PJ story time at 6:30 pm. Many families choose to stay and play after story time, so this program is a great way to meet other families.

Friday Afternoon Fun programs occur every Friday (excluding Holidays) from 3-4:30pm on a drop in basis. Stop by the children’s area to participate in a fun project for the whole family! We will have a different activity each Friday!
